Deuteronomy 4:10-12
GOD’S WORD Translation
10 Never forget the day you stood in front of the Lord your God at Mount Horeb. The Lord had said to me, “Assemble the people in front of me, and I will let them hear my words. Then they will learn to fear me as long as they live on earth, and they will teach their children the same thing.”
11 So you came and stood at the foot of the mountain, which was on fire with flames shooting into the sky. It was dark, cloudy, and gloomy. 12 The Lord spoke to you from the fire. You heard a voice speaking but saw no one. There was only a voice.

10 Remember the day you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb,(A) when he said to me, “Assemble the people before me to hear my words so that they may learn(B) to revere(C) me as long as they live in the land(D) and may teach(E) them to their children.” 11 You came near and stood at the foot of the mountain(F) while it blazed with fire(G) to the very heavens, with black clouds and deep darkness.(H) 12 Then the Lord spoke(I) to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of words but saw no form;(J) there was only a voice.(K)
