²⁵ “When you ^[a]become the father of children and children’s children and have remained long in the land, and ^(A)act corruptly, and ^(B)make an ^[b]idol in the form of anything, and ^(C)do that which is evil in the sight of the Lord your God so as to provoke Him to anger,

^12 (A)Then the Lord said to me, ‘Arise, go down from here quickly, for your people whom you brought out of Egypt have acted corruptly. They have ^(B)quickly turned aside from the way which I commanded them; they have made a molten image for themselves.’

²⁹ For I know that after my death you will ^(A)act corruptly and turn from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days, for you will do that which is evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger with the work of your hands.”
