²⁷ The Lord will scatter you among the peoples,^(A) and you will be reduced to a few survivors^[a] among the nations where the Lord your God will drive you.

⁷ I will cut off Israel from the land I gave them,^(A) and I will reject^[a] the temple I have sanctified for my name.^(B) Israel will become an object of scorn and ridicule among all the peoples.^(C)

²⁰ then I will uproot Israel from the soil that I gave them, and this temple that I have sanctified for my name I will banish from my presence;^(A) I will make it an object of scorn and ridicule among all the peoples.^(B)

⁹ I will make them an object of horror^(A) and a disaster to all the kingdoms of the earth, an example for disgrace, scorn, ridicule,^(B) and cursing, wherever I have banished them.^(C)
