²⁹ But from there, you will search for the Lord your God, and you will find him when you seek him with all your heart and all your soul.^(A)

What God Requires

¹² “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you except to fear^(A) the Lord your God by walking in all his ways, to love him, and to worship the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul?^(B)

¹³ “If you carefully obey my commands I am giving you today, to love the Lord your God and worship him with all your heart and all your soul,

⁴ You must follow the Lord your God and fear him. You must keep his commands and listen to him; you must worship him and remain faithful^[a] to him.^(A)
