Deuteronomy 5:13-15
International Standard Version
13 Six days you are to labor and do all your work, 14 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. You are not to do any work—neither you, your son, nor your daughter,[a] your male and female servants, your oxen and donkeys, nor any of your livestock, nor any foreigner who lives among you—[b] so that your male and female servants may rest as you do. 15 You are to remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, but the Lord your God brought you out from there with great power and a show of force.[c] Therefore, the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day. |
