Deuteronomy 6:18-20

18 You are to do what is right and good in the sight of Adonai, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and possess the good land that Adonai swore to your fathers— 19 to drive out all your enemies from before you, as Adonai has spoken.

20 “When your son asks you in time to come, saying ‘What are the testimonies and the statutes and the ordinances that Adonai our God commanded you?’

New International Version
18 Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight,(A) so that it may go well(B) with you and you may go in and take over the good land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors, 19 thrusting out all your enemies(C) before you, as the Lord said.
20 In the future, when your son asks you,(D) “What is the meaning of the stipulations, decrees and laws the Lord our God has commanded you?”
