8 but it is because the Lord loves you, and is keeping the oath which he swore to your fathers, that the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations, 10 and requites to their face those who hate him, by destroying them; he will not be slack with him who hates him, he will requite him to his face.

8 But it was because the Lord loved(A) you and kept the oath he swore(B) to your ancestors that he brought you out with a mighty hand(C) and redeemed(D) you from the land of slavery,(E) from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. 9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God;(F) he is the faithful God,(G) keeping his covenant of love(H) to a thousand generations(I) of those who love him and keep his commandments.(J) 10 But
those who hate him he will repay to their face by destruction;
he will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate him.(K)
