Deuteronomy 8:13-15

13 and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and gold multiply, and all that you have multiplies, 14 then your heart will become [a]proud and you will (A)forget the Lord your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt, out of the house of [b]slavery. 15 He led you through (B)the great and terrible wilderness, with its (C)fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water; He (D)brought water for you out of the rock of flint.

13 and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied, 14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget(A) the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 15 He led you through the vast and dreadful wilderness,(B) that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes(C) and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock.(D)
