¹⁶ In the wilderness it was He who fed you manna ^(A)which your fathers did not know, in order to humble you and in order to ^(B)put you to the test, to do good for you ^[a]in the end.

⁶³ And it will come about that, just as the Lord ^(A)rejoiced over you to be good to you, and make you numerous, so will the Lord ^(B)rejoice over you to wipe you out and destroy you; and you will be ^(C)torn away from the land which you are entering to possess.

^5 (A)The Lord your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will be good to you and ^(B)make you more numerous than your fathers.
