Deuteronomy 9:23-25
New English Translation
23 And when he[a] sent you from Kadesh Barnea and told you, “Go up and possess the land I have given you,” you rebelled against the Lord your God[b] and would neither believe nor obey him. 24 You have been rebelling against him[c] from the very first day I knew you!
Moses’ Plea on Behalf of God’s Reputation
25 I lay flat on the ground before the Lord for forty days and nights,[d] for he[e] had said he would destroy you.

Deuteronomy 9:23-25
New International Version
23 And when the Lord sent you out from Kadesh Barnea,(A) he said, “Go up and take possession(B) of the land I have given you.” But you rebelled(C) against the command of the Lord your God. You did not trust(D) him or obey him. 24 You have been rebellious against the Lord ever since I have known you.(E)
25 I lay prostrate before the Lord those forty days and forty nights(F) because the Lord had said he would destroy you.(G)
