¹⁷ Do not show partiality when deciding a case;^(A) listen to small and great alike. Do not be intimidated by anyone, for judgment belongs to God.^(B) Bring me any case too difficult for you, and I will hear it.

¹⁷ For the Lord your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty, and awesome God, showing no partiality and taking no bribe.

⁹ “So I in turn have made you despised^(A) and humiliated before all the people because you are not keeping My ways but are showing partiality in your instruction.”^(B)

¹⁶ They sent their disciples to Him, with the Herodians.^(A) “Teacher,” they said, “we know that You are truthful and teach truthfully the way of God. You defer to no one, for You don’t show partiality.^[a](B)
