¹⁸ And the Lord has today declared you to be ^(A)His people, His personal possession, just as He promised you, and ^[a]that you are to keep all His commandments;

¹⁶ “For God so ^(A)loved the world, that He ^(B)gave His ^(C)only Son, so that everyone who ^(D)believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

³ for His ^(A)divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true ^(B)knowledge of Him who ^(C)called us ^[a]by His own glory and ^[b]excellence.

⁷ for ^(A)we walk by faith, not by ^[a]sight—

^20 (A)On that day you will know that ^(B)I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I in you.

¹⁷ But the one who joins himself to the Lord is ^(A)one spirit with Him.

^4 (A)I was overjoyed to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we have received a commandment to do from the Father.

³ For I ^(A)was overjoyed when ^(B)brothers came and testified to your truth, that is, how you ^(C)are walking in truth. ⁴ I have no greater joy than ^[a]this, to hear of ^(D)my children ^(E)walking in the truth.

¹⁶ But I say, ^(A)walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out ^(B)the desire of the flesh.
