⁵ And you shall answer and say before Yahweh your God, ‘^(A)My father was a ^[a]wandering Aramean, and he went down to Egypt and ^[b]sojourned there, ^(B)few in number; but there he became a ^(C)great, mighty, and populous nation.

⁴ To Isaac I gave ^(A)Jacob and Esau, and ^(B)to Esau I gave Mount Seir to possess it; but ^(C)Jacob and his sons went down to Egypt.
