⁶ Be strong and courageous;^(A) don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For it is the Lord your God who goes with you;^(B) He will not leave you or forsake you.”^(C)

⁶ “Be strong and courageous,^(A) for you will distribute the land I swore to their fathers to give them as an inheritance.^{(B) 7} Above all, be strong and very courageous to carefully observe the whole instruction My servant Moses commanded you.^(C) Do not turn from it to the right or the left, so that you will have success wherever you go. ⁸ This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth;^(D) you are to recite^[a] it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do.^{(E) 9} Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous?^(F) Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

²⁵ Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid or discouraged. Be strong and courageous,^(A) for the Lord will do this to all the enemies you fight.”

¹³ Then you will succeed if you carefully follow the statutes and ordinances the Lord commanded Moses for Israel.^(A) Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or discouraged.^(B)
