⁹ “Only be on your guard and diligently watch yourselves,^(A) so that you don’t forget^(B) the things your eyes have seen and so that they don’t slip from your mind^[a] as long as you live. Teach them to your children and your grandchildren.^(C)

³ Do not eat leavened bread with it.^(A) For seven days you are to eat unleavened bread with it, the bread of hardship—because you left the land of Egypt in a hurry^(B)—so that you may remember for the rest of your life the day you left the land of Egypt.

¹⁹ It is to remain with him, and he is to read from it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to fear^(A) the Lord his God, to observe all the words of this instruction, and to do these statutes.

⁵ No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live.^(A) I will be with you, just as I was with Moses. I will not leave you or abandon you.^(B)
