¹¹If the snake bites before it is charmed,^(A)
then there is no advantage for the charmer.^[a]

Ecclesiastes 10:11

New International Version

¹¹If a snake bites before it is charmed,
the charmer receives no fee.^(A)

¹⁷Indeed, I am about to send snakes among you,
poisonous vipers^(A) that cannot be charmed.^(B)
They will bite you.
This is the Lord’s declaration.

¹⁷“See, I will send venomous snakes^(A) among you,
vipers that cannot be charmed,^(B)
and they will bite you,”
declares the Lord.
