20 Surely there is not a ·good [righteous] person on earth
who always does good and never sins [1 Kin. 8:46; Ps. 143:2; Prov. 20:9; Rom. 3:10–18].
21 Don’t ·listen [L give your heart] to everything people say,
or you might hear your servant insulting you.
22 ·You know [L Your heart knows] that many times
you have insulted others.

20 Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous,(A)
no one who does what is right and never sins.(B)
21 Do not pay attention to every word people say,
or you(C) may hear your servant cursing you—
22 for you know in your heart
that many times you yourself have cursed others.
