Ecclesiastes 8:6-8
English Standard Version
6 For there is a time and a way (A)for everything, although man's trouble[a] lies heavy on him. 7 For he (B)does not know what is to be, for (C)who can tell him how it will be? 8 No man has power to (D)retain the spirit, (E)or power over the day of death. There is no (F)discharge from war, nor will wickedness deliver those who are given to it.

Ecclesiastes 8:6-8
New International Version
6 For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter,(A)
though a person may be weighed down by misery.
7 Since no one knows the future,
who can tell someone else what is to come?
8 As no one has power over the wind to contain it,
so[a] no one has power over the time of their death.
As no one is discharged in time of war,
so wickedness will not release those who practice it.
