⁴ A time to ^(A)weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;

³ To ^[a]console those who mourn in Zion,
^(A)To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
^(B)The planting of the Lord, ^(C)that He may be glorified.”

⁴ Again ^(A)I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt,
O virgin of Israel!
You shall again be adorned with your ^(B)tambourines,
And shall go forth in the dances of those who rejoice.
