Obukulembeze bw’Abatuukirivu
29 (A)Omuntu akakanyaza omutima gwe oluvannyuma lw’okunenyezebwa emirundi emingi,
alizikirira ng’atamanyiridde awatali kuwona.
2 (B)Abatuukirivu bwe bakulaakulana, abantu basanyuka,
naye abakakanyalira mu kukola ebikyamu bwe bafuga abantu babeera mu kusinda.
3 (C)Ayagala amagezi asanyusa kitaawe,
naye munne w’abamalaaya ayiwaayiwa obugagga bwe.
4 (D)Kabaka afuga n’obwenkanya, abantu be baba mu butebenkevu,
naye oyo alulunkanira enguzi, ensi agyonoona.
5 Omuntu awaanawaana munne,
aba yeetega yekka ekitimba.
6 (E)Ebibi by’omwonoonyi bye bimutega,
naye omutuukirivu abeera mu kuyimba na kusanyuka.
7 (F)Omutuukirivu afaayo ku nsonga z’abaavu,
naye abakozi b’ebibi tebakola bwe batyo.
8 (G)Abakudaazi basasamaza ekibuga,
naye abantu abalina amagezi baziyiza entalo.
9 Omuntu ow’amagezi bw’awoza n’omusirusiru,
omusirusiru ayongera kusunguwala, n’okujerega ne wataba mirembe.
10 (H)Abeegomba okuyiwa omusaayi bakyawa omuntu ow’amazima,
era banoonya okusaanyaawo obulamu bwe.
11 (I)Omusirusiru alaga obusungu bwe bwonna,
naye omuntu ow’amagezi abuziyiza n’abukkakkanya.
12 Omufuzi bw’awuliriza eby’obulimba,
abakungu be bonna bafuuka babi.
13 (J)Omwavu n’oyo amubonyaabonya balina ekibagatta:
Mukama bombi ye yabawa amaaso.
14 (K)Kabaka bw’asalira abaavu emisango n’obwesigwa,
obufuzi bwe bubeerera emirembe gyonna.
15 (L)Akaggo akakangavvula, kaleeta amagezi,
naye omwana alekeddwa awo, aswaza nnyina.
16 (M)Abakozi b’ebibi bwe beeyongera obungi, okumenya amateeka kweyongera,
naye abatuukirivu baliraba okugwa kwabwe.
17 (N)Kangavvula omwana wo, alikuwa emirembe,
alireetera emmeeme yo essanyu.
18 (O)Awatali kwolesebwa abantu tebaba beegendereza,
naye wa mukisa oyo akuuma amateeka ga Mukama.
19 Omuweereza tayinza kubuulirirwa na bigambo byokka;
ne bw’aba ategedde tafaayo.
20 (P)Olaba omuntu ayanguyiriza ebigambo bye?
Omusirusiru alina essuubi okumusinga.
21 Atiitiibya omuweereza we ekiyitiridde ng’akyali mwana muto,
oluvannyuma omuweereza aleetera mukama we obuyinike.
22 (Q)Omuntu ow’obusungu aleeta ennyombo,
n’omuntu asunguwala amangu ayonoona nnyo.
23 (R)Amalala g’omuntu galimuleetera okugwa,
naye omuntu ow’omwoyo ogwetoowaza alifuna ekitiibwa.
24 (S)Buli assa ekimu n’omubbi akyawa obulamu bwe ye,
era ne bw’alayizibwa tasaanira kubaako ky’ayogera.
25 (T)Okutya omuntu kuleeta ekyambika,
naye buli eyeesiga Mukama anaabanga mirembe.
26 (U)Bangi abanoonya okuganja mu maaso g’omufuzi,
naye obwenkanya obwa nnama ddala buva eri Mukama.
27 (V)Atali mutuukirivu wa muzizo eri abatuukirivu;
era omwesimbu wa muzizo eri abakozi b’ebibi.
Proverbs 29
New International Version
29 Whoever remains stiff-necked(A) after many rebukes
will suddenly be destroyed(B)—without remedy.(C)
3 A man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father,(G)
but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.(H)
4 By justice a king gives a country stability,(I)
but those who are greedy for[a] bribes tear it down.
5 Those who flatter their neighbors
are spreading nets for their feet.(J)
6 Evildoers are snared by their own sin,(K)
but the righteous shout for joy and are glad.
7 The righteous care about justice for the poor,(L)
but the wicked have no such concern.
8 Mockers stir up a city,
but the wise turn away anger.(M)
9 If a wise person goes to court with a fool,
the fool rages and scoffs, and there is no peace.
10 The bloodthirsty hate a person of integrity
and seek to kill the upright.(N)
13 The poor and the oppressor have this in common:
The Lord gives sight to the eyes of both.(S)
14 If a king judges the poor with fairness,
his throne will be established forever.(T)
15 A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom,
but a child left undisciplined disgraces its mother.(U)
16 When the wicked thrive, so does sin,
but the righteous will see their downfall.(V)
17 Discipline your children, and they will give you peace;
they will bring you the delights you desire.(W)
18 Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint;
but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.(X)
19 Servants cannot be corrected by mere words;
though they understand, they will not respond.
20 Do you see someone who speaks in haste?
There is more hope for a fool than for them.(Y)
21 A servant pampered from youth
will turn out to be insolent.
22 An angry person stirs up conflict,
and a hot-tempered person commits many sins.(Z)
24 The accomplices of thieves are their own enemies;
they are put under oath and dare not testify.(AC)
27 The righteous detest the dishonest;
the wicked detest the upright.(AI)
