19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers,(A) but fellow citizens(B) with God’s people and also members of his household,(C) 20 built(D) on the foundation(E) of the apostles and prophets,(F) with Christ Jesus himself(G) as the chief cornerstone.(H) 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple(I) in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.(J)

23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church,(A) his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands(B) in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives,(C) just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her(D) 26 to make her holy,(E) cleansing[a] her by the washing(F) with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself(G) as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.(H)
