4 Fathers, don’t stir up anger(A) in your children, but bring them up in the training(B) and instruction of the Lord.
Slaves and Masters
5 Slaves, obey your human[a] masters(C) with fear and trembling,(D) in the sincerity(E) of your heart, as to Christ. 6 Don’t work only while being watched, in order to please men, but as slaves of Christ, do God’s will(F) from your heart.[b]

4 Fathers,[a] do not exasperate your children;(A) instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.(B)
5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect(C) and fear, and with sincerity of heart,(D) just as you would obey Christ.(E) 6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ,(F) doing the will of God from your heart.
