Ephesians 6:4-6

⁴^(A)Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but ^(B)bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Slaves and Masters

⁵^(C)Slaves, be obedient to those who are your ^[a]masters according to the flesh, with ^(D)fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, ^(E)as to Christ; ⁶^(F)not ^[b]by way of ^[c]eye-service, as ^(G)people-pleasers, but as ^(H)slaves of Christ, ^(I)doing the will of God from the ^[d]heart.

New International Version

⁴Fathers,^[a] do not exasperate your children;^(A) instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.^(B)

⁵Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect^(C) and fear, and with sincerity of heart,^(D) just as you would obey Christ.^(E) ⁶Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ,^(F) doing the will of God from your heart.
