5 Slaves, obey your human masters, with respect and reverence, with sincerity of heart, as you would the Messiah— 6 not just under your master’s eye as people-pleasers, but as slaves of Messiah doing God’s will from the soul.

New International Version

4 Fathers,[a] do not exasperate your children;(A) instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.(B)

5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect(C) and fear, and with sincerity of heart,(D) just as you would obey Christ.(E) 6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ,(F) doing the will of God from your heart.
