⁴ For He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight.^[a](A) In love^[b]

²⁷ He did this to present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless.^(A)

¹⁵ so that you may be blameless^(A) and pure,^(B) children of God who are faultless^(C) in a crooked^(D) and perverted^(E) generation,^(F) among whom you shine like stars in the world.

²² But now He has reconciled you by His physical body^[a] through His death,^(A) to present you holy, faultless,^(B) and blameless before Him^(C)—
