²⁷ and do not ^(A)give the devil ^[a]an opportunity.

^11 (A)Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the ^(B)schemes of the devil. ¹² For our ^(C)struggle is not against ^[a](D)flesh and blood, but ^(E)against the rulers, against the powers, against the ^(F)world forces of this ^(G)darkness, against the ^(H)spiritual forces of wickedness in ^(I)the heavenly places. ¹³ Therefore, take up ^(J)the full armor of God, so that you will be able to ^(K)resist on ^(L)the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. ¹⁴ Stand firm therefore, ^(M)having belted your waist with truth, and having ^(N)put on the breastplate of righteousness, ¹⁵ and having ^(O)strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; ^16 [b]in addition to all, taking up the ^(P)shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the ^(Q)flaming arrows of ^(R)the evil one. ¹⁷ And take ^(S)the helmet of salvation and the ^(T)sword of the Spirit, which is ^(U)the word of God.

^18 [c]With every ^(V)prayer and request, ^[d](W)pray at all times ^(X)in the Spirit, and with this in view, ^[e](Y)be alert with all ^(Z)perseverance and every ^(AA)request for all the ^[f]saints, ¹⁹ and ^(AB)pray in my behalf, that speech may be given to me ^(AC)in the opening of my mouth, to make known with ^(AD)boldness ^(AE)the mystery of the gospel, ²⁰ for which I am an ^(AF)ambassador ^(AG)in ^[g]chains; that ^[h]in proclaiming it I may speak ^(AH)boldly, ^(AI)as I ought to speak.

^21 (AJ)Now, so that you also may know about my circumstances as to ^[i]what I am doing, ^(AK)Tychicus, ^(AL)the beloved brother and faithful ^[j]servant in the Lord, will make everything known to you. ^22 [k](AM)I have sent him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know ^[l]about us, and that he may ^(AN)comfort your hearts.

^23 (AO)Peace be to the brothers and sisters, and ^(AP)love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. ²⁴ Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ ^[m]with incorruptible love.

^8 (A)Be of sober spirit, ^(B)be on the alert. Your adversary, ^(C)the devil, prowls around like a roaring ^(D)lion, seeking someone to devour. ^9 [a](E)So resist him, ^(F)firm in your faith, knowing that ^(G)the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your ^[b]brothers and sisters who are in the world. ¹⁰ After you have suffered ^(H)for a little while, the ^(I)God of all grace, who ^(J)called you to His ^(K)eternal glory in Christ, will Himself ^(L)perfect, ^(M)confirm, strengthen, and establish you. ^11 (N)To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.
