2 All of his powerful and magnificent accomplishments(A) and the detailed account of Mordecai’s great rank to which the king had honored him,(B) have they not been written in the Historical Records of the Kings of Media and Persia?(C) 3 Mordecai the Jew was second only to King Ahasuerus,(D) famous among the Jews, and highly popular with many of his relatives.(E) He continued to seek good for his people and to speak for the welfare of all his descendants.(F)

2 And all his acts of power and might, together with a full account of the greatness of Mordecai,(A) whom the king had promoted,(B) are they not written in the book of the annals(C) of the kings of Media and Persia? 3 Mordecai the Jew was second(D) in rank(E) to King Xerxes,(F) preeminent among the Jews, and held in high esteem by his many fellow Jews, because he worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews.(G)

2 And all the acts of his power and of his might, and the declaration of the greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?
3 For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
