31 to establish these days of Purim at their appointed times, just as Mordecai the Jew and Queen Esther had established for them, and just as they had established for themselves and for their [a]descendants, with [b]instructions (A)for their times of fasting and their mourning. 32 The command of Esther established these [c]customs for (B)Purim, and it was written in the book.

31 to establish these days of Purim at their designated times, as Mordecai the Jew and Queen Esther had decreed for them, and as they had established for themselves and their descendants in regard to their times of fasting(A) and lamentation.(B) 32 Esther’s decree confirmed these regulations about Purim, and it was written down in the records.
