Exodus 22:21-24
Common English Bible
21 Don’t mistreat or oppress an immigrant, because you were once immigrants in the land of Egypt. 22 Don’t treat any widow or orphan badly. 23 If you do treat them badly and they cry out to me, you can be sure that I’ll hear their cry. 24 I’ll be furious, and I’ll kill you with the sword. Then your wives will be widows, and your children will be orphans.

21 “Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner,(A) for you were foreigners(B) in Egypt.
22 “Do not take advantage of the widow or the fatherless.(C) 23 If you do and they cry out(D) to me, I will certainly hear their cry.(E) 24 My anger will be aroused, and I will kill you with the sword; your wives will become widows and your children fatherless.(F)
