Good News Translation
20-21 Because the midwives were God-fearing, God was good to them and gave them families of their own. And the Israelites continued to increase and become strong. 22 (A)Finally the king issued a command to all his people: “Take every newborn Hebrew boy and throw him into the Nile, but let all the girls live.”

20 So God was kind to the midwives(A) and the people increased and became even more numerous. 21 And because the midwives feared(B) God, he gave them families(C) of their own.
22 Then Pharaoh gave this order to all his people: “Every Hebrew boy that is born you must throw into the Nile,(D) but let every girl live.”(E)
