20 So (A)God was good to the midwives, and (B)the people multiplied and became very [a]mighty. 21 Now it happened that because the midwives [b](C)feared God, He (D)made [c]households for them. 22 And Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, “(E)Every son who is born [d]you are to cast into (F)the Nile, and every daughter you are to keep alive.”

22 Then Pharaoh gave this order to all his people: “Every Hebrew boy that is born you must throw into the Nile,(D) but let every girl live.”(E)
