3 And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians: also Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.
4 And Moses said, Thus saith the Lord, (A)About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt.
5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth on his throne, unto the firstborn of the maid servant, that is at [a]the mill, and all the firstborn of beasts.

3 (The Lord made the Egyptians favorably disposed(A) toward the people, and Moses himself was highly regarded(B) in Egypt by Pharaoh’s officials and by the people.)
4 So Moses said, “This is what the Lord says: ‘About midnight(C) I will go throughout Egypt.(D) 5 Every firstborn(E) son in Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to the firstborn son of the female slave, who is at her hand mill,(F) and all the firstborn of the cattle as well.
