Exodus 12:5-7
Amplified Bible
5 Your lamb or young goat shall be [perfect] without blemish or bodily defect, a male a year old; you may take it from the sheep or from the goats.(A) 6 You shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month, then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel is to slaughter it [a]at twilight. 7 Moreover, they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel [above the door] of the houses in which they eat it.(B)

5 The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect,(A) and you may take them from the sheep or the goats. 6 Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month,(B) when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.(C) 7 Then they are to take some of the blood(D) and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs.

5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
