14 (A)And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ then you shall say to him, ‘(B)With [a]a powerful hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, from the house of [b]slavery. 15 And it came about, when Pharaoh was stubborn about letting us go, that the (C)Lord put to death every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from human firstborns to animal firstborns. Therefore, I sacrifice to the Lord the males, every firstborn of a womb, but every firstborn of my sons I redeem.’ 16 So (D)it shall [c]serve as a sign on your hand and as [d]phylacteries [e]on your forehead, for with [f]a powerful hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt.”

This is why I sacrifice to the Lord the first male offspring of every womb and redeem each of my firstborn sons.’(C) 16 And it will be like a sign on your hand and a symbol on your forehead(D) that the Lord brought us out of Egypt with his mighty hand.”
