21 Meanwhile, Moses stretched his rod over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the sea, with walls of water on each side; and a strong east wind blew all that night, drying the sea bottom. 22 So the people of Israel walked through the sea on dry ground! 23 Then the Egyptians followed them between the walls of water along the bottom of the sea—all of Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, and horsemen.

21 Then Moses stretched out his hand(A) over the sea,(B) and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind(C) and turned it into dry land.(D) The waters were divided,(E) 22 and the Israelites went through the sea(F) on dry ground,(G) with a wall(H) of water on their right and on their left.

23 The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemen(I) followed them into the sea.
