²⁵ Then Moses cried out^(A) to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw^(B) it into the water, and the water became fit to drink.

There the Lord issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test.^{(C) 26} He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep^(D) all his decrees,^(E) I will not bring on you any of the diseases^(F) I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals^(G) you.”

⁴¹ Elisha said, “Get some flour.” He put it into the pot and said, “Serve it to the people to eat.” And there was nothing harmful in the pot.^(A)

⁶ The man of God asked, “Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw^(A) it there, and made the iron float.
