Exodus 16:3-5
1599 Geneva Bible
3 For the children of Israel said to them, Oh that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh [a]pots, when we ate bread our bellies full: for ye have brought us out into this wilderness, to kill this whole company with famine.
4 ¶ Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will cause bread to rain from heaven to you, and the people shall go out, and gather [b]that that is sufficient for every [c]day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law or no.
5 But the sixth day they shall prepare that, which they shall bring home, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.

Exodus 16:3-5
New International Version
3 The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt!(A) There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food(B) we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.”(C)
4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven(D) for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test(E) them and see whether they will follow my instructions. 5 On the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice(F) as much as they gather on the other days.”
