8 ¶ (A)Then came [a]Amalek and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
9 And Moses said to Joshua, Choose us out men, and go fight with Amalek: tomorrow I will stand on the top of the [b]hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
10 So Joshua did as Moses bade him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur, went up to the top of the hill.

The Amalekites Defeated
8 The Amalekites(A) came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim.(B) 9 Moses said to Joshua,(C) “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff(D) of God in my hands.”
10 So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur(E) went to the top of the hill.
