⁵ Now then, ^(A)if you will indeed obey My voice and ^(B)keep My covenant, then you shall be ^(C)My ^[a]own possession among all the peoples, for ^(D)all the earth is Mine;

^6 (A)Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and the other half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. ⁷ Then he took ^(B)the Book of the Covenant and read it ^[a]as the people listened; and they said, “^(C)All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient!” ⁸ So ^(D)Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Behold ^(E)the blood of the covenant, which the Lord has ^[b]made with you ^[c]in accordance with all these words.”

² The Lord our God made ^(A)a covenant with us at Horeb.

^3 (A)The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, all ^[a]of us who are alive here today.

³² not like the ^(A)covenant which I made with their fathers on the day I ^(B)took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My ^(C)covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord.
