י | 17 “You are not to desire[a] your neighbor’s house,[b] nor your neighbor’s wife, his male or female servant, his ox, his donkey, nor anything else that pertains to your neighbor.” |
The People are Terrified in God’s Presence
18 All the people experienced the thunder and lightning, the sound of the ram’s horn, and the smoking mountain. And as the people experienced it, they trembled and stood at a distance.

16 “You shall not give false testimony(A) against your neighbor.(B)
17 “You shall not covet(C) your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
18 When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet(D) and saw the mountain in smoke,(E) they trembled with fear.(F) They stayed at a distance
