19 And said unto Moses, (A)Talk thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God talk with us, lest we die.

20 Then Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to [a]prove you, and that his fear may be before you, that ye sin not.

21 So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near unto the darkness where God was.
