⁶ but showing lovingkindness to ^(A)thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

⁶ Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, ^(A)compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and ^[a]truth; ⁷ who ^(B)keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He ^(C)will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, ^(D)visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”

¹⁰ but ^(A)showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

⁹ Know therefore that the Lord your God, ^(A)He is God, ^(B)the faithful God, ^(C)who keeps ^[a]His covenant and ^[b]His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who ^(D)love Him and keep His commandments;

² He ^(A)prayed to the Lord and said, “Please Lord, was not this ^[a]what I said while I was still in my own country? Therefore ^[b]in order to forestall this I ^(B)fled to Tarshish, for I knew that You are a ^(C)gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, and one who relents concerning calamity.
