⁷“^(A)You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not ^[a]leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.

Exodus 20:7

New International Version

⁷“You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.^(A)

³¹Then he said, “May ^(A)God do so to me and more so, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat ^[a]remains on him today.”

³¹He said, “May God deal with me, be it ever so severely, if the head of Elisha son of Shaphat remains on his shoulders today!”
