16 (A) Death is the punishment for kidnapping. If you sell the person you kidnapped, or if you are caught with that person, the penalty is death.
17 (B) Death is the punishment for cursing your father or mother.

16 “Anyone who kidnaps someone is to be put to death,(A) whether the victim has been sold(B) or is still in the kidnapper’s possession.
17 “Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.(C)
18 “If people quarrel and one person hits another with a stone or with their fist[a] and the victim does not die but is confined to bed,
