²⁸ “You shall not ^[a](A)curse God, ^(B)nor curse a ruler of your people.

¹⁵ And you shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘^(A)If anyone curses his God, then he will bear his sin. ¹⁶ Moreover, the one who ^(B)blasphemes the name of Yahweh shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him. The sojourner as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.

¹¹ Then they secretly induced men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”
