Exodus 23:29-31
International Standard Version
29 I won’t drive them out before you in a single year, so that the land does not become desolate and so that wild animals do not overrun you. 30 I’ll drive them out ahead of you little by little until you increase in numbers[a] and possess the land.
31 “I’ll set your borders from the Reed[b] Sea to the Sea of the Philistines,[c] and from the desert to the Euphrates[d] River, bringing[e] the inhabitants of the land under your control,[f] and you are to drive them out ahead of you.

New International Version
29 But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals(A) too numerous for you. 30 Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession(B) of the land.
31 “I will establish your borders from the Red Sea[a] to the Mediterranean Sea,[b] and from the desert to the Euphrates River.(C) I will give into your hands the people who live in the land, and you will drive them out(D) before you.
