Exodus 23:7-9

⁷^(A)Keep far from a ^[a]false charge, and ^(B)do not kill the innocent or the righteous, for ^(C)I will not justify the guilty.

⁸“^(D)And you shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and ^[b]subverts the cause of the ^[c]just.

⁹“^(E)And you shall not oppress a sojourner, since you yourselves know the soul of a sojourner, for you also were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

Exodus 23:7-9

New International Version

⁷Have nothing to do with a false charge^(A) and do not put an innocent^(B) or honest person to death,^(C) for I will not acquit the guilty.^(D)

⁸“Do not accept a bribe,^(E) for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent.

⁹“Do not oppress a foreigner;^(F) you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.
