³³ You shall ^[a]hang up the veil under the clasps, and shall bring in ^(A)the ark of the testimony there within the veil; and the veil shall ^[b]serve for you as a partition ^(B)between the holy place and the holy of holies. ^34 (C)You shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the holy of holies.

² The Lord said to Moses:

“Tell your brother Aaron that he shall not enter ^(A)at any time into the holy place inside the veil, before the ^[a]mercy seat which is on the ark, or he will die; for ^(B)I will appear in the cloud over the ^[b]mercy seat.

⁶ Then ^(A)the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord ^(B)to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the most holy place, ^(C)under the wings of the cherubim.

³ Behind ^(A)the second veil there was a ^[a]tabernacle which is called the ^(B)Holy of Holies,
