³⁸ It shall be on Aaron’s forehead, and Aaron shall ^[a](A)take away the iniquity of the holy things which the sons of Israel consecrate, with regard to all their holy gifts; and it shall always be on his forehead, that ^(B)they may be accepted before the Lord.

¹⁷ “Why ^(A)did you not eat the sin offering at the holy place? For it is most holy, and ^[a]He gave it to you to bear away ^(B)the guilt of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord.

¹⁶ and so cause them ^(A)to bear ^[a]punishment for guilt by eating their holy gifts; for I am the Lord who sanctifies them.’”
