39 “Weave the tunic(A) of fine linen and make the turban(B) of fine linen. The sash is to be the work of an embroiderer. 40 Make tunics, sashes and caps for Aaron’s sons(C) to give them dignity and honor.(D) 41 After you put these clothes(E) on your brother Aaron and his sons, anoint(F) and ordain them. Consecrate them so they may serve me as priests.(G)

42 “Make linen undergarments(H) as a covering for the body, reaching from the waist to the thigh. 43 Aaron and his sons must wear them whenever they enter the tent of meeting(I) or approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place,(J) so that they will not incur guilt and die.(K)

“This is to be a lasting ordinance(L) for Aaron and his descendants.

27 For Aaron and his sons, they made tunics of fine linen(A)—the work of a weaver— 28 and the turban(B) of fine linen, the linen caps and the undergarments of finely twisted linen. 29 The sash was made of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn—the work of an embroiderer—as the Lord commanded Moses.
